Section A / Register summary

Licensed termite and pest control operators in Texas

By Oliver Wakefield-Smith, Founder, Digital Signet·Verified June 2026

Texas contributes 3,615 licensed operators to this register of 15,728 across 8 states, taken from the TDA SPCS Current Licenses: commercial business report (file last modified 7 Sep 2026 (fetched 11 Sep 2026)). 2,945 (81%) hold the termite category as the regulator records it. The weekly TDA report carries the county and no address, so until 11 September 2026 Texas was county rows and nothing else. The street addresses here are the department's own, released that day in answer to a public information request, and joined to the licences by business name within county. 3,474 businesses now have a full operator file across 57 area pages; 3,229 geocoded to the rooftop and 271 to a ZIP centroid, and 115 stay as rows because no address could be matched to them without guessing, or because the one that was could not be placed. Neither TDA file carries a phone number.

Section C / Reading a TX licence record

What the TDA SPCS record does and does not tell you

Every record on this page comes from the TDA SPCS Current Licenses: commercial business report, file last modified 7 Sep 2026 (fetched 11 Sep 2026). The regulator is the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), Structural Pest Control Service. The status shown is the one on that file; a licence can lapse or be renewed between snapshots. The TDA file is titled current licences; 3,615 rows remain after removing businesses with no structural category and those whose licence expiry date had already passed on the file date (renewal grace, but not shown here). That weekly file carries the county and nothing finer: the street addresses on this register came separately, addresses obtained by public information request from the Texas Department of Agriculture, Structural Pest Control Service, 11 September 2026 (Government Code chapter 552); no fee charged.

2,945 of the 3,615 records (81%) carry the termite category as TDA SPCS records it. The rest hold general pest, fumigation or other structural categories only; they can inspect and treat other pests but the register does not license them for wood-destroying organism work.

The address and the licence come from two different TDA files, joined here on the business name within the same county and on nothing else. Where a name matched address rows at two different streets, or where one address row answered to several licences, no address is shown at all rather than a guessed one; that is what leaves 115 Texas records with no position on the map, most of them branch licences held by the national chains. Of the rest, 3,229 geocoded to the rooftop and 271 to a ZIP centroid. 3,474 records met the data floor for a full operator file (licence number, categories, status and snapshot, address, county, metro and nearest alternatives); the other 141 are listed as rows, either because no address could be matched to them or because another operator already holds the file at that street. Neither TDA file carries a phone number, so no Texas record here has one. 34 licences are held from an address outside Texas.

TDA SPCS public licence search

Two TDA files build this register. The weekly Structural Pest Control Service commercial business report is the licence record and carries the county only. The street addresses are the department's response to public information request PIR# 26-715, released on 11 September 2026 under chapter 552 of the Government Code with no fee charged; they are joined to the licences by business name within county, and any name that could match two different addresses is left without one. That response also names the owner and the account contact in two sets of columns; those columns are never read and no individual is named anywhere on this site. Neither file carries a phone number or a web address.

Status is shown exactly as the regulator reported it on the snapshot date and is not a statement about today. Registers change with every renewal cycle; the regulator's own search is the only current source. Business records only: individual applicators, technicians and field representatives are never listed here.

This register extract is an independent consumer guide, not a referral service and not an endorsement of any operator. We are not a pest control company and receive nothing from the businesses listed. Verify licence status with the regulator before signing a contract or paying a deposit.
